My journey with languages and rocks began during high school in Mendoza, Argentina, where I lived with a local family in the heart of the Malbec wine region. While studying humanities there, I developed a deep appreciation for Spanish language and latin cultures, later adding Portuguese to my linguistic repertoire. I also fell in love with geology. I had a view of the Andes every day in Mendoza, and after visiting Salta and Jujuy, I was smitten!

My academic path led me to earn a bachelor's degree in geology and a master's in petroleum engineering. During college, I ran my language service business, a construction business, and was a geophysicist intern. After college, I worked offshore in the Gulf of Mexico - first as a field engineer on drilling rigs, then as a geophysicist on survey vessels.

Today, I work as a well control instructor, teaching IADC and IWCF certification well control courses that cover drilling, workover, and well intervention operations. I've had the opportunity to teach these courses throughout Mexico, Belize, Brazil, Argentina, Ghana and the United States, working with students in their native languages.

Over the years, my language work has taken me into diverse settings. I've interpreted in immigration interviews, courts, and police interrogations, and developed specialized language programs for various industries. Some of my most memorable projects include creating and delivering customized vocational English and Spanish classes for workers in oyster processing plants, construction companies, IT departments, and call centers.

When I'm not teaching well control courses, I enjoy working one-on-one with language students and creating curriculum materials that bridge technical and linguistic gaps. 

Outside of work, my hobbies include learning languages, dancing and travelling.
